We broke the news earlier (release date and est. prices) and now Xiaomi has officially announced that it will be launching the new Redmi K40 series on 25th February in China. The company is deciding to launch two new smartphones. These two phones include Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 pro.
Through some leaks and sources, we know a little bit about their designs, appearance, and specifications. Redmi has confirmed a few features of the Redmi K40, the company said that the latest Qualcomm snapdragon 888 processor will power the handset. Redmi K40 Key Features
Redmi has told little about the upcoming Redmi K40 on its Weibo channel. According to the company, the handset will come with an E4 AMOLED display. In addition to this, the refresh rate will be 120Hz with the OLED screen. Moreover, a triple camera set up and Snapdragon might be reserved for K40 Pro and a lower variant processor for Redmi K40. Although chipset variation is not confirmed yet.
Another amazing feature is that Xiaomi Redmi K40 will have Wifi 6 connections in it. The new Wifi 6 connectivity will allow the phone to send 101GB files in 12 minutes and 30 seconds. Isn’t this great news for Redmi lovers? Redmi K40 has 4K QAM coding technology that’s allowing the phone to send data faster. Furthermore, it has a 160Mhz overclocking width. Besides this, in Redmi K40, there is an offer of 3.5Gbps speed.

Leaked specifications from the TENAA listing confirmed that the Redmi K40 series will come with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display. The phones are considered to make use of E4 luminous and good material, which may also have a refresh rate of 120Hz and HDR10+ support. Furthermore, both the Redmi K40 and the K40 Pro could measure at around 163.7×76.4×7.8 mm in dimensions. Moreover, these smartphones will have a battery of 4420 mAh.
