Xiaomi held its unpacking event on 10 August 2021. In this event, we got a chance to view multiple Xiaomi products including Xiaomi Mi Mix 4, Xiaomi Mi Pad 5, and Mi speaker. This time Xiaomi company has included high-tech features and impressive design for Xiaomi lovers.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 4
A few days back, Xiaomi also released some teaser videos of Mi Mix 4. The teaser confirms that Mi Mix 4 has a ceramic unibody design, a squarish under-display selfie camera similar to Mi 11 Ultra. It weighs 225 grams and measures 8.02 mm in thickness.
It supports a 20 MP camera under the 6.67-inch display, 120 Hz refresh rate, and 1080p OLED screen. The under-display selfie camera might be alike to the camera Oppo company is expected to launch in the coming months.
Furthermore, the back panel includes a triple camera with a 108 megapixel, 8MP 5x telephoto, and 13 MP ultra-wide lens. Whether the camera specs make Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 amongst the best camera smartphone of 2021, we will let you know once we review the unit.
The Internals of Xiaomi Mi Mix 4
It packs a 4500mAh battery with a 120-watt fast charger and 50-watt wireless charging support. The 120 watts will charge the battery in just 21 minutes. Amazingly on turning the boost mode it will charge speedily in 15 minutes with a fast charger and in 28 minutes with a 50-watt charger. We already remember the 200 Watt hypercharge technology demonstrated by Xiaomi a few weeks before and some of that technology might be used here.
It houses a Snapdragon 888 Plus processor with two 8GB and 12 GB RAM options and a storage capacity of 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 Gb. You can buy as per your need. Snapdragon 888 is already the market leader in chipset and 888+ is sure to be better than that. This might make Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 amongst the best performance phone of 2021.
An interesting feature of this gadget is an ultra-wideband (UWB) which is used as a ‘point to connect’ smart devices such as television and speakers. Also, the IR blaster is present as an alternative option. The connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, Wifi 6, and support Android 11. The Mix 4 will be available in China from 16 August at 4,999 yuan or $770 for the 8/128GB version and 6,299 yuan or $970 for the 12/512GB model. As per our analysis, Mi Mix 4 might be amongst the best gaming smartphone in the high-end range.
Xiaomi Mi Pad 5
As per the leaked photos of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5, it will have a dual circle camera design. It is available in regular and Pro variants. The Geekbench results show that the Pro variant packs a snapdragon 870 chipset. While regular houses Snapdragon 860 chipset.
The Mi Pad 5 and Mi Pad 5 Pro are about 6.85mm and 6.86mm in thickness respectively. The Mi Pad regular measure 511 grams in weight and the Pro variant measures 515 grams in weight.
Further, on testing. This device with a model number M2105K81AC scored 1008 on the single-core test and 3273 on the multi-core test. The best part is that there will be a keyboard as well as stylus support and the Pro version may have 5G connectivity.
The battery is 8720mAh with a 33-watt charger in Mi Pad 5. However, Mi Pad 5 Pro houses an 8600mAh battery with 67-watt charger support. You will get four speakers and 13MP rear while an 8 MP front camera in Mi Pad 5.
On the other hand. Mi Pad 5 Pro offers eight speakers, a 50 MP+30 MP rear camera, and an 8 MP front shooter.
The price of Pad 5 is ¥1999 or $308 and Mi Pad 5 Pro price is about ¥2499 or $385.
Mi Smart Speakers
As per the poster by Xiaomi, the speaker by Mi will be a high-quality smart speaker. They may give you an amazing experience like a concert hall with their sound quality. However, not much information is released so far.
