Here we are with the amazing specifications of the most hyped-up smartphone lineup “Xiaomi Mi 11 series”. The lineup consists of Xiaomi Mi 11, Mi 11i, Mi 11 Pro, and Mi 11 Ultra rocked the world with the best camera phones. So, here is everything you would like to know about Xiaomi’s new product.
Xiaomi is famous for its best display. Moreover, this time it has come up with an unbeatable camera, the strongest battery, and many more. Let’s explore Xiaomi Mi 11 series one by one.
Xiaomi Mi 11 series_ everything you would like to know!
Xiaomi’s minimalist packaging!
Well, if you are going to order Mi 11, I warn you, you are going to see the most precise packaging ever. The smartphone’s box contains few manuals, a clear TPU case and, a handset – that’s all.
You are not going to get a charger in the phone package. So Xiaomi is saving space and probably reducing future landfills. Though they have said in the china launch that anyone can ask for a free charger with the box. But I think the charger you get in a phone’s box is almost always the best charger for that phone. Especially on something, which supports blazing-fast 55-watt charging speed, so you are probably not getting the full phone experience by just using the charger you already have.
Well don’t worry you are getting a charger with Mi 11 Ultra and Pro variant and it’s 67 watts strong.
Best Display
You get a 6.81-inch Quad HD AMOLED Dolby display. The 120-Hz refresh rate is pretty much the fastest touch response and 117 nit’s highest brightness of any phone ever. The best way of showing is just how fast it was, I pulled up a 910 Wii emulator, opened call of duty modern warfare 3, and set it to run at two times the native resolution with extra effects added on top. Where huge Galaxy Note 20 ultras was feeling the burn 15 fps on average and sometimes falling to 5. The Xiaomi Mi 11 consistently played at 30fps making you feel like playing a native android game. That seems to outclass the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra which is only five months old and fundamentally costs twice the price. Mi 11 series is sure to be amongst the best gaming smartphones of 2021.
The company has always made the best displays. I can’t even explain how exotically amazing the video playing experience of this phone is. It’s not just 1440 pi but a variety of HDR to play your video with. They have also added EMI EMC technology in Xiaomi Mi 11 series which can automatically add frames into videos to make them even smoother. Furthermore, the screen itself is made up of the strongest version of corning gorilla glass that is Victus 7. The company also tested it for twice the scratch resistance. You also get a full display without a notch with the smallest ever cut-out front camera punch.
Harmon Kardon Dual Stereo speakers
The speakers are remarkable too. the whole Xiaomi Mi 11 series has the Harman Kardon dual stereo speaker. I think through the back of the phone you can kind of feel the sound. I will say that Xiaomi Mi 11 gives you that theatre sound feels that you get via large speakers. It’s like the whole phone is humming the tune of whatever you are watching. You might find it annoying, but I liked it. Especially if you are a gaming lover. Let’s say you are driving a car and you can feel the engine and that’s extraordinary fun.
Xiaomi lineup Chipset storage and battery life.
Above everything else, Xiaomi featured Mi 11 with the best Snapdragon 888 chipset. This chip makes it effectively the fastest Android on the planet right now. It has 8/12 GB of the Ram 128/ 256 of huge capacity and a 4600 mah and 5000 mah strong battery.
The other thing that impressed me is the software. Because the MIUI 12.0 on this phone. it genuinely feels like an interactive piece of art. Whereas MiUI 12.5 with Android 11 on Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra and Pro variant are more extensive.
You should know about the battery life of this series. I have been using it in the worst-case scenario running it for quite a long time. I played with the camera, ran multiple games and HD videos but still, it gives me 6 hours of on-screen time. This is amazing.
Though this phone didn’t come with a charger that’s okay. Because when I charged Mi 11 with an old OnePLus 8T charger, it quickly charged in an hour. Whereas when I charged Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro and Ultra with their 67-watt wired chargers they took less than 35 minutes to fully charge. Moreover, all these handsets can reverse charge other wireless devices. Quite amazing right? Your mind will be blown to know that you can get all these specs for under $1000 in China.
Everything has some negative points too. So, there are very few things which I didn’t like about this series. All the handsets come with excessive bloatware and a weird-shaped icon. Which can be changed and customized. But there is one more thing that I want to nitpick that there are so many transitions and animation effects. Well, they look fancy but to me, they are quite extra. So, the fact is there is nothing which you can hate about this lineup.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Camera
Finally, let’s come to the camera. I am not exaggerating but Xiaomi has given the best camera to Xiaomi Mi 11 series. Base handset Mi 11 camera is not just the most organized camera experience I have ever had. It’s probably the most fun too. It has filters that are more than just slide single color adjustment. you have got cinematic effects like phantom and nostalgia which will entirely change the theme of your shots. There are a whole set of movie modes too. They have used AI to create from a dolly zoom effect the ability to freeze-frame just parts of a video to stimulate a slow shutter speed.
Macro lens
The third lens provides us macro camera lens and no doubt it’s quite good too. It only 5 megapixels and it’s nothing crazy but because it zooms in quite well. As if having an incredibly short focusing distance. it genuinely feels like using a microscope. there is so much more, a dual video, a long exposure, a supermoon feature, etc. All because of the great 108-megapixel sensor.
Portrait mode and Night mode video recording
With all the above features. You get the most delicious background blur on this phone. I tried to compare it with Samsung Note 20 Ultra. But in a lot of shots, you can very clearly see more details on Mi 11 than on the Samsung which kind of makes sense because while Samsung converts its 108 megapixels down to 12 MP, whereas, Xiaomi convert to 27 MP.
Though I would say that its low-light performance is nowhere near consistent. it’s pretty easy to blur but this is also the first phone which has night mode video. It’s very interesting like when there is a normal video from Xiaomi and Samsung it’s comparable. But if we turn the feature on it kind of seems to sacrifice detail but add extra brightness and reduce the noise too. t’s not groundbreaking but it’s more than a gimmick.
Ultra-wide camera
There is also an ultra-wide camera here and I have a little more to say about it. But two things are quite annoying. When you shoot with an ultra-wide camera the zooming feature kind of stuck. It drastically affects the video consistency whereas you will also feel a drastic color shift and exposure whenever your subject makes a light movement. But I would say, still in almost every scenario, it’s keeping up with top stellar performance.
In a nutshell, Mi 11 series is amongst the best camera smartphones of 2021.
Xiaomi Mi 11 ultra Camera – The Most hyped up Camera.
Before turning into anything else, we should immediately jump to Camera specifications because this will fascinate you the most. For the first time, a smartphone is rocking up a camera sensor that is almost as big as a professional camera. Yes, I am not kidding. Xiaomi didn’t even compare this phone to a smartphone. They went straight after Sony’s professional digital camera Rx 100 mark 7. They did Xiaomi Mi 11 ultra side-by-side comparison with a professional camera, particularly in the low light situation. The result was surprising because we saw Mi 11 Ultra doing a better job. It was giving brighter images as well as more details.
On top of all this, they also did this extreme comparison by turning off all the lights and Mi 11 ultra is just noticeably better. In real life, it’s an A+ camera, as remarkable as they show in the launch. I am surprised that I am saying this. But it makes me think that smartphone is beating digital cameras and since they are so easy to carry around, it will be perfect. And with this beyond professional camera capability, it is a perfect recipe to kill the need of having a professional camera for most people. Well, all this is because of the huge GN2 Samsung sensor and best night mode photography feature.
Camera lenses and Sensor
Let’s come to the back camera bump that houses all the lenses. So, the actual design looks stupidly big. I mean this is the most insane camera bump you will ever see on a smartphone. It is so big that they decided to put in a display on the back that offers various functions. It can show notification dates and even a cool charging animation. Whereas you can also capture the sharpest selfie in the world using the back display while using the main 50-megapixel GN2 sensor.
Apart from this main sensor, Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is rocking an IMX586 ultra-wide lens which is quite good too. After that, a 48-megapixel periscope camera system, allows it to zoom up to 120 times. of course, that is all software the actual lossless zoom is up to 5 to 7 x level. But just experience it and you will love it. This phone is capable of giving an unusually detailed zoomed image and it’s so clear as if you have clicked it from the shortest distance.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra Camera test
Well during the launch Xiaomi showed some amazing clicks captured by Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. But we are always skeptical about how a smartphone feels in hand. I am going to share the in-hand experience of Samsung’s huge 50-megapixel GN2 sensor camera phone.
Videography
Let’s talk about the video recording first. You can imagine how smooth 8k video recording feels. When we pull open the camera and start to record a video, it amazed me how clear and consistently smooth it was. The best thing I noticed was, that the camera was not affected by motion.
But there is one thing that I disliked about it. Whenever there was a camera shift. I noticed a very drastic color shift. the same problem we came across with the Oneplus 9 Pro camera whereas the Samsung S21 ultra comes out clean with no such issue.
Night mode videography was not as impressive as the day. But it’s not that bad. Mi 11 Ultra is not so consistent, but the video is brighter and sharper. The image was well defined whereas there was noise reduction too. But I think the image was unnaturally bright and the camera focused on the subject less efficiently than the daylight. The Camera is more fun for videography. Because you get many amazing videography features like blogging and dual video mode.
Ultra-wide Camera, periscope Camera zoom system, and portrait mode:
The ultra-wide camera is extraordinarily amazing too. When you capture the image, it gives you quite natural and extensive details of the shot. I compared the images of two variants of the Xiaomi Mi 11 series. Both did an amazing job the results were similar, but Mi 11 ultra gives a high contrast image whereas Mi 11 gives a brighter image.
While using the Mi 11 ultra I zoomed up the camera up to 75% and you can’t believe the result. The image was so real that for once I thought as If I haven’t even zoomed it. Every detail was clear and the colors were sharp and vibrant, and the images were fine too. Though one thing I noticed that there were slight color shorts but that was fine.
The portrait mode is amazing. I think it single-handedly beat both Samsung S21 Ultra and OnePlus 9 Pro. The focus on the subject and the background blur was so real. I clicked multiple shots focusing on multiple objects and without taping for focus. I get an amazing background blur with extra sharp edge detection. Though the image looks vibrant because I think the camera focuses on dark colors more and enhanced them a lot, but it was not bad at all.

Xiaomi Mi 11i
While Mi 11 Ultra is the showstopper of the Xiaomi Mi 11 series the Cheaper Mi 11i is also not less in any aspect. It comes with the same amazing chipset of Snapdragon 888 and a 6.67″ wide flat AMOLED 120Hz display. Though it lacks Dolby vision and battery is 4500 Mah with a 33-watt charger, not 55 or 67 watts but it is worth the price.
I don’t want to disappoint you, but the camera is not as smart as the other variants too. There is only an 8 megapixel ultra-wide and 5 megapixels tele macro-Camera system. Sounds like a huge Gap right but when you focus on all the other specs and price this makes sense.
You Get all this for around $600.
Mi 11 Lite with lighter Specs
Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite and Mi 11 lite 5G are here for you to enjoy the brand with lighter specs at affordable prices. Though everything is a bit lighter like you are getting a 6.5″ display with gorilla grass down to version 5 not even 6 and 4250 mah battery. But everything is always fine when it’s within the budget.
The handset comes with a 1080×2400 resolution and the battery is supported by 33 watts wired charger which can fully charge the handset in about an hour.
It does have a triple camera, but I said everything is lighter I mean it. featuring a 64-megapixel primary camera an 8-megapixel camera, and a 5-megapixel camera.
The good news is, it also has a strong Snapdragon 732 chip and Run MIUI 12 packed with 6 GB and 64 GB storage expandable via micro-SD card. It also has a smart fingerprint sensor. Well, you can save money by purchasing the Lite Variant but investing in Lite 5G is still wiser for the longer run. If you do not care about the other specifications much which are not bad anyways.
[…] On the main display at the front, MI 11 Ultra has a 6.81-inch QHD+ (3200×1440) AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 480Hz touch sampling rate, and a magnificent brightness of 1,700 nits. All these features are alike to that of the MI 11 vanilla model. […]
