Hypercharge 200 Watts wired and 120 Watts wireless technology was officially unveiled today by Xiaomi via two tweets. The company was teasing the Hypercharge technology on its Official Twitter page for 2 days. It is a world record for fastest mobile charging since now. The 200 Watt wired technology will take 8 minutes and wireless charging at 120 Watts would take approximately 15 mins to fully charge the new mobiles. In the said tweet Mi 11 series was used to demonstrate the charging speed.
Xiaomi unrolled the MIUI 12.5.2 update on its newer models in last week. Maybe the updates contain the charging speed updates as well. Although the updates did had some bugs which were tweeted by Ben Geskin even, but fixes were made in a short span by Xiaomi.
Xiaomi Hypercharge 200 Watts Technology is official
Xiaomi has also shown off a video demonstration of hypercharge technology using a modified Mi 11 Pro with a battery of 4000mAh. It can reach 50 percent battery in just three minutes and a full charge in 8 minutes with 200 watts wired charging. With 120 watts wirelessly it reaches 50 percent in seven minutes and 100 percent in just 15 mins.
Isn’t Hypercharge Technology an incredible innovation from Xiaomi?
Now, you don’t have to worry to juice up your mobile phone even in emergency conditions as it would take no time to charge from 0 to 100 percent. This insane hyper-charge speed is the first-ever innovation we have seen up till now.
Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, and Oneplus have been upgrading the charging speeds of smartphones that even the bigger companies are worried about. Two years back, Xiaomi’s flagships came up with a 100W system that could charge a 4,000mAh battery in 17 minutes. And recently Mi 11 ultra came up with 45000mAh to fill up in 23 minutes at 120 W. Now, it is trying to create a buzz on the internet with its new record of hypercharge technology.
Hypercharge Technology vs Battery life
However, will hypercharge technology affect the battery life in the long run? There are many questions regarding this new technology. We have mostly seen that fast charging heats up the phone excessively and degrade the battery life. Thus the battery or the phone needs to be changed within few years. Well, will this happen in this case or not, only Xiaomi can answer!
The innovations in the world of technology are always welcomed and fast charging in just a few minutes is no doubt appealing. But what wonders will it show can only be seen after experiments.
This is all we know about Xiaomi’s innovation up till now. Keep following us for more updates!
