Introduction

Tecno Camon 16 has a full 6.9 inches HD+IPS LCD screen. It has a glass front with a plastic body. Additionally, It comes with a dual sim and SD card supported with 128GB internal storage. 

Unboxed it and got a 12+1 month warranty card, manual guide, cover case, 33watt charger, type C charging cable(orange accents on the connector), and the earphone as well.

Design, Build, and Handling

6.9 inches Full HD resolution display with 90Hz refresh rate. In addition to that It has 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage and at back branding of Tecno is mentioned.

The back is made with polycarbonate material thus requiring a back cover. As it is of the lightest weight thus handling won’t be an issue. A side-mounted fingerprint scanner along with the power button and sim card is present.

Display, Battery life, Charging speed, and Speaker

The contrast ratio is 1896:1, and the absolute brightness is 400nits. Camon 16 supports HDR10 and HLG too. It has a 4500mAh battery capacity, which is non-removable with fast battery charging (33W). There is only a single mono audio speaker with unimpressive quality.

Camera, Photo, and Video quality

This mobile comes with a double punch-hole front-facing camera located on the left side. The back camera is of Quad 8 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP + AI, LED Flash. LED Flash has different modes that are super night mode, slow-mo record. Furthermore, the front camera is dual (wide camera and the normal camera) 16MP + 2MP with the LED flash. It has also a dedicated camera for video recording and a depth sensor as well (that will help you in low light photography). It comes with a lot more features like Night Portrait Mode, Geo-tagging, Face detection, Panorama, HDR, Slow-mo Video Recording, Video Bokeh. The video has the beauty mode as well.

Software and performances

It has the latest software that is android 10.0 OS so thus it would run smoothly without any sort of hurdles. Camon 16 is powered by MediaTek MT6785 Helio G90T (12 nm) processor with the Octa-core (2×2.05 GHz Cortex-A76 & 6×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55). Moreover the graphic processing unit of Mali-G76 MC4. G90T is a superb gaming processor. It has an internal storage of 128GB and the microSD card is also supported. It has a face ID option along with that it has a fingerprint sensor, light, and proximity sensor.

Alternatives & Final Verdict

Tecno Camon 16 being the great phone of the Tecno with the marvelous specs sheet. The main competitor is Realme 7i with a price tag of Rs. 39,999 PKR.

Realme 7i comes with the chipset of Qualcomm SM6115 Snapdragon 662 (11 nm)  with the gorilla glass for protection.
