Design and Feel
Huawei Nova 8 has got inherited the design of the Nova series with curved edges and a perfect rectangle. The dimensions of the smartphone are 160.1 x 74.1 x 7.6 mm (6.30 x 2.92 x 0.30 inches). The best thing about the smartphone is that it has lightweight at 169 grams and is quite easy to carry. It’s a Dual SIM device and inserts Nano-SIM and having Dual standby.
Display
There are a 6.57 inches long display which makes approximately 89.3% of screen to body ratio. The smartphone supports an OLED display with HDR10. The resolution of the screen is 1080 x 2340 pixels. The auto set brightness of the device is approximately 392 ppi which is quite low that it would be difficult to use in bright light. There is a hole at the top of the front camera. The smartphone supports a fingerprint sensor.

And device features a GPU of Mali-G77 (8-core). The cell phone has a non-removable battery of Li-Po with a capacity of 3800 mAh. Huawei Nova 8 is based on GSM/CDMA/HSPA/LTE/5G network technology. It works on Android 10 with EMUI 11. The smartphone doesn’t support google play services. The device has 8GB RAM and its internal storage is 128GB and 256GB being two variants of the smartphone. One cannot increase the internal storage of the device as it lacks the card slot for the inclusion of storage.

Apple iPhone XR has a shorter display, less storage, and less battery capacity than Huawei Nova 8. OPPO Reno 5 pro has a higher battery capacity and works on Android 11. Again OnePlus 8 has a higher battery capacity and higher RAM than Huawei Nova 8.
Verdict
The best thing about the smartphone is its huge charging speed, an OLED display, and the bright colors in which it is available. The bad thing about the smartphone is that it lacking an SD card slot for the inclusion of extra storage. One other thing is the absence of the google play store and you would not be able to use some apps. Apart from these, the overall performance of the smartphone is good enough.
